Wine Region Notes
Price
Martin Ray Chardonnay Russian River Valley, 2015 California Apple blossom intrigues on the nose of this light-bodied, low-oaked white. It's both steely and revealing, showing succulent mango, peach and pear. The acidity is lively and balanced. $14.99
Javillier Meursault Les Tillets, 2014 Burgundy, France Has a very perfumed nose with lime flower, citrus fruit and cold limestone scents. The palate is fresh and vibrant with a citric thread of acidity. $49.99
Chappellet Chardonnay Napa, 2014 California Pure, rich and graceful, centered on a core of green apple, pear, melon and spice, holding focus and ending with a long, persistent aftertaste. A classic old-school Napa Chardonnay... $34.99
Chateau Roquevieille Cotes de Castillon, 2010 Bordeaux, France Firm and structured, this powerful wine has considerable aging potential. Black plum skins, dark tannins and ripe, juicy fruitiness are all piled into the solid structure. $14.99
Sheridan Mystique Yakima, 2014 (Merlot) Washington State Offers a fabulous St. Emilion-like bouquet of black currants, black cherries...spice box and incense in a medium to full-bodied, seamless, polished and elegant profile. It's already hard to resist. $30.99
Chateau Fombrauge Grand Cru St. Emilion, 2010 Bordeaux, France This has a nice graphite frame that drives the core of fig, plum and boysenberry fruit, with dense ganache, espresso and tar on the finish. The grip is keeping things tight now, but this should meld in the cellar, as the underlying feel is energetic. (Mostly Merlot) $34.99
De Margerie Grand Cru Brut Rose NV Champagne, France Fruit-forward, with ripe, candied flavors of strawberry, boysenberry and blackberry, accompanied by notes of toasted raisin bread, ground ginger and smoke. Tightly knit, showing fine texture and lively acidity. (Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier) $46.99 (sale at 30)
